•Jimmy was born in Houston, Texas and grew up
in a house where the sound of a guitar was
commonplace- both his father Donald Sr. and his
older brother Donald Jr played guitar. He decided
to try his hand at playing at around 8 years of age, and soon set Chet Atkins as his first major guitar hero. Jimmy credits his family for exposing him to many forms of music at a young age- Chet and traditional country from his dad, Bill Doggett and 50's era-Elvis from his Mom, Judas Priest and Jimi Hendrix from his brother, and 70's-era Elvis and Lynyrd Skynyrd from his two sisters, just to name a few early influences. After many years of playing in church, then local VFW halls and parties, then nightclubs around the country Jimmy relocated to Nashville by way of Georgia in the late 90's and in 2000 started playing acoustic guitar, 6-string banjo and harmony vocals with Montgomery Gentry. Home recording, building guitar-based electronics
projects and gigging on lower Broadway in Nashville occupy his time when he's not on the Jim Beam bus.
Jessica was born in Celina, Ohio where she started singing with her parents' gospel band at age 4, which preformed regionally as well as into Canada. Around age 15 she branched out into the local club and recording scene, playing bass and keyboards, with her brother's band and later her own band. While in Ohio Jessica developed proficient abilities on keyboards, bass, acoustic guitar, lead and harmony vocals, which are to this day her main instruments. She even learned a little bit of 5 string banjo at that time.
Jessica moved to Nashville, Tn at age 18, and has worked in the local club scene (with bands and as a single), and occasionally recording sessions. She worked at the Music Valley Jubille theatre show in Nashville, at the Texas Troubadour theatre, during the entire year of 2002. Jessica has opened shows for Tammy Wynette, The Charlie Daniels Band, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Sawyer Brown, The Oak Ridge Boys, Gary Allan, The Bellamy Brothers, Chubby Checker, LeAnn Rimes, and John Michael Montgomery. Jessica is currently performing (bass and vocals) with Michael Peterson. Since joining in 2003 she has toured France, Switzerland, Korea, and Germany.
